Niagara Winter Festival Of Lights

The Winter Festival of Lights is one of Canadas's largest light festivals, attracting over one million visitors per year and spans over five kilometers along the Falls view of the Niagara Parkway.

Before we get into things, let’s tell you more about WFOL. The Winter Festival of Lights in Niagara Falls, Ontario, is Canada's largest lights festival. It runs from mid-November to mid-January and attracts over one million visitors annually. It features a beautifully decorated five-kilometre route along the Niagara Parkway, adjacent to Niagara Falls. In 2019 we were chosen as the first Canadian company in the 37 years that the event has operated to develop and handcraft 6 different lighting displays with app integrations, allowing patrons to 'operate' the lights by using hashtags on social media. We worked closely with the event organizers as well as a few artists over the course of a year to create pieces that would make this celebration shine brighter than the years before it… To our success if we do say so ourselves! Although, we can’t forget the growing pains of building one of a kind pieces to setting up in -25 degree weather while the spray from the falls found it’s way down to freeze on you. Despite these challenges and many more it was an honour to face them for the pieces that took our skills as event architects to the next level.
